Leaving Sa Pa, let's visit the final highlight of the Northern off-road motorbike tour: the Pho Rang vestige site. From there, head towards the Chinese border to experience life at the frontier. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant.
Pho Rang town, located over 30 km northwest of Hanoi, is the political, economic, and cultural center of Bao Yen District, Lao Cai Province. The town is surrounded by deep pools to the north and west, rocky areas to the south, and the Chay River flowing to the east.
While in Pho Rang, try highland fruits like apricots, mangoes, lychees, and jackfruits. If you enjoy alcohol, sample the town’s special distilled drink. All the local restaurants serve sticky rice wrapped in seven layers of leaves or rice cooked in a bamboo tube.
Spend the night at a local guesthouse.
