Itinerary

Today, we'll start our journey from Hanoi City to Thac Ba Lake, Vietnam's largest artificial lake with thousands of islands. After breakfast, we'll set off early and follow a small path along the Red River to the Lo River. We'll avoid the crowded and overly touristy routes, choosing instead to take off-road tracks that let you experience the authentic Vietnam.

We'll stop for lunch at a local restaurant and enjoy traditional Vietnamese food on our way to Thac Ba Lake. Then, we'll drive to Ngoi Tu, a tranquil village of the Dzao Tien ethnic group in Vu Linh commune. We'll have dinner and spend the night at a homestay in this picturesque village.

Summary:
Distance: 170 km
Meals: Lunch, Dinner
Accommodation: Homestay

Today will be packed with exciting riding adventures, with over 50% of the journey taking place on off-road tracks from Vu Linh to Mu Cang Chai. Along the way, you'll be treated to stunning views of nature as you navigate Khau Pha Pass, known as the toughest and longest pass on National Highway 32, before reaching the rural district of Mu Cang Chai. Be sure to take a break here to capture some beautiful photos to share with your friends on social media. We'll end the day with dinner and a peaceful night's stay at a homestay or hotel in Mu Cang Chai.

Summary:
Distance: 220 km
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Accommodation: Homestay/ Hotel

Today will be a long day of riding on the road from Mu Cang Chai to Bac Ha, a rural area in Lao Cai province. Bac Ha is known for its natural beauty and cool climate, similar to Sapa. Instead of staying in Sapa, we'll have dinner and spend the night in Bac Ha. However, if you haven't visited Sapa and O Quy Ho Pass before, we can still explore these two beautiful attractions after lunch in Bao Lac. You'll get to see the stunning landscapes of Sapa town and experience O Quy Ho Pass, one of the most challenging yet breathtaking mountain passes in the northwestern region of Vietnam.

Summary:
Distance: 230 km
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Today, like any other day, we're embarking on a long drive. However, what sets today apart is that we'll be riding motorcycles from morning till afternoon. This means we need to keep our eyes wide open to take in all the stunning views along the way. With plenty of winding and curving roads ahead, it's crucial that everyone in our group is a skilled rider. If we're all up to the task, we might even get the chance to see one of the highest points in this area, Kieu Lau Thi, standing tall at 2402 meters. To reach it, we'll need to tackle a rough off-road track uphill for about 12 kilometers, then another 12 kilometers downhill.

After that adventure, we'll head to Hoang Su Phi, a national landscape renowned for its vast terraced rice fields stretching from the foot to the peak of the mountain. It's a sight that fills you with a sense of freedom and admiration for the hard work of the local farmers. In the afternoon, if luck is on our side, we might catch the sunset from the Sky Gate near Quan Ba, after navigating through the challenging yet breathtaking Bac Sum Pass. Today promises to be a highlight of our Top 9-day Northern Loop Vietnam motorbike tour to Ha Long Bay.

During our Northern Loop Vietnam motorbike tours, every day brings new surprises as we journey through the stunning landscapes.

Today, we'll traverse the rocky plateaus and geological rock parks in Dong Van and Meo Vac. This stretch is particularly exciting for riders looking to hone their skills in Vietnam. With its unique geography, breathtaking views, and plenty of off-road terrain, today promises to be unforgettable for Northeast Vietnam motorcycle tours.
At the end of our fifth day, we'll stop in a quaint town to unwind after an exhilarating day of riding on our Vietnam motorbike tours.

Certainly! Today, words alone can't capture the stunning beauty of this region. We'll embark on our 9-day Northern Loop Vietnam motorbike tour, heading towards Ha Long Bay via Cao Bang Province. Along the way, we'll discover why Vietnam motorcycle tours are increasingly popular among riders worldwide. Our team from the Vietnam motorbike tours club will ride along the China border, experiencing the most incredible pass in Northeast Vietnam, boasting over 15 exhilarating curves up the mountains, delighting all riders on this route. As we journey, we'll pass through charming, tranquil villages nestled beside the road, renowned as the "second land of Ha Long Bay". In the afternoon, we'll pause at the picturesque village of Bac Son, immersing ourselves in authentic Vietnamese life.

Summary:
Distance: 231 km
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Leaving Bac Son, known as the valley of love and fond memories, we have a choice of roads to reach Ha Long Bay. While National Highway 1 or 18 are the main roads connecting Quang Ninh province, they can be congested with heavy traffic. Instead, we suggest a different route, leading through Khe Ro’s ancient forest and the spiritual path west of Yen Tu, eventually reaching Ha Long.
Yen Tu nature reserve spans across five communes: Thanh Son, Thanh Luan, Tuan Mau, An Lac, and Luc Son. This reserve is a popular destination, attracting millions of visitors annually with its unique religious sites and natural beauty. Yen Tu holds special significance in Buddhism, as it is where the ancient Buddhist King Tran Nhan Tong attained enlightenment and established a distinctive branch of Buddhism in Vietnam.
After lunch, we continue our journey from Yen Tu towards Quang Ninh city, known for its coal industry and home to Ha Long city. By late afternoon, we will reach Ruby Hotel in Ha Long city, where you can enjoy a delicious dinner featuring freshly caught seafood and refreshing beer.

It ranks among the world's ten largest caves, covering an area of 10,000 square meters. When we reach the cave's highest point, we'll be treated to stunning views resembling a royal garden surrounding a clear pond.
Following a brunch buffet, we'll check out of the hotel by 11:30 a.m. and start our journey back to Hanoi, opting for the safest and most scenic route to avoid rush hour traffic.
