The journey departs at 9:00 am. We will follow Highway 5, where we can see the famous Bat Trang ceramic village located on the outskirts of Hanoi (about 15 km from the city center). With 4 days for the trip, we can freely explore interesting places on the way to Cat Ba, including this ancient pottery village.

Coming to Bat Trang, visitors can walk around the village, visit local families to learn about pottery making and the diversity of products here - from bowls, plates, vases, drinking cups to souvenirs. Large ceramic painting.

If you are a shopaholic, don't miss Bat Trang Market, where countless ceramic products with many different designs and colors are sold. You can also try your hand at making pottery under the guidance of local artisans.

After visiting Bat Trang village, we will move to Hai Phong city, also known as "the city of red phoenix flowers". Expect to arrive at the hotel at 3pm. Here, you have time to relax and explore the city during your night stay at the Hai Phong hotel.

Starting the day with breakfast, we moved to the port and took a speedboat from Binh wharf, Hai Phong to Cai Vieng wharf on Cat Ba island. This motorbike tour from Hanoi to Ha Long and Cat Ba mainly focuses on sightseeing, so we don't do much off-road but instead travel by boat between islands.

Lan Ha Bay is one of the highlights of Cat Ba that tourists should not miss. Located south of Ha Long Bay, Lan Ha Bay's neighbor boasts a pristine landscape of majestic and uncarved natural beauty, with a dense limestone mountain system. This offers many beautiful small beaches at the foot of the mountains, islands and picturesque caves. Therefore, it is easy for visitors to find a suitable location to swim, camp overnight or simply relax and enjoy the salty sea breeze.

Other activities such as rock climbing, scuba diving and snorkeling are great ideas to explore this amazing island. In the afternoon, we can visit floating fishing villages, explore stalactite caves or swim at isolated beaches. Late afternoon, we returned to Cat Ba island.

Our morning starts with a delicious breakfast, followed by a motorbike adventure around Cat Ba Island. This island boasts the title of largest in the bay, with nearly half its area dedicated to a National Park protecting the critically endangered Cat Ba Langur. Cat Ba's diverse ecosystems, both on land and underwater, contribute to its remarkable biodiversity. The archipelago showcases a variety of natural wonders, including limestone karsts, lush tropical forests, vibrant coral reefs, mangrove forests, seagrass beds, serene lagoons, pristine beaches, hidden caves, and unique willow swamp forests.

Cat Ba National Park, a jewel at the island's heart, stuns visitors with its visual beauty and ecological richness. Established in 1986, the park encompasses roughly one-third of Cat Ba's landmass and holds the distinction of being Vietnam's first protected area to incorporate a marine component. Our motorbike journey ends at Beo port, where we'll park and embark on a cruise through the bay. Kayaking and swimming await us in these tranquil waters, offering an experience as captivating as Ha Long Bay, yet boasting a peaceful and refreshing atmosphere. To maximize our exploration, we'll wrap up our motorbike tour of the northeast region by noon, allowing ample time for additional sightseeing beyond Cat Ba Island. Our day concludes with a comfortable overnight stay at a hotel in Cat Ba town.

Dive into exploring Cat Ba at your own pace until 10:00 am. Don't miss a visit to Cai Beo fishing village, just a short 2km journey from town. This charming village is home to around 300 families who make their living primarily through fishing and fish farming.

After soaking up the village atmosphere, we'll take a short walk to the harbor and hop on a speedboat for a thrilling ride to Hai Phong City. Refuel with a delicious lunch at a local restaurant before hitting the road for the return journey to Hanoi via Road 5. This concludes our four-day motorbike adventure from Hanoi to Cat Ba Island, arriving back at approximately 4:00 pm.
