It's a short ride, but it's packed with new experiences. The road to Bao Lac is bumpy and winding, so even though it's only a few dozen kilometers, it takes time. However, the slow pace allows us to fully appreciate the stunning landscape, which is some of the most beautiful in Vietnam.
We cross Ma Pi Leng Pass again to reach Meo Vac, which borders Dong Van District in Ha Giang and Bao Lam District in Cao Bang. Meo Vac is home to various ethnic groups, including the Tay, Kinh, Dzao, and H’mong. Isolated from modern life, they maintain a rural lifestyle and rich cultural traditions. The peaceful village scenes, images of ethnic women weaving cloth on their porches, and the friendly faces will leave a lasting impression.
After leaving Meo Vac, our motorbike team follows QL4B, crosses Ly Bon Bridge, turns left onto QL34, and continues straight until we arrive at Bao Lac town in the late afternoon. After checking in and showering, we will head to the town center for dinner. Finally, we'll return to the hotel to rest and recharge for the next part of the trip.
