Itinerary
Indulge in a hearty breakfast in Sapa before embarking on the journey to Mu Cang Chai, renowned for its stunning terraced rice fields and traditional way of life. The road trip from Sapa to Mu Cang Chai is quite lengthy, spanning over 6 hours. We'll traverse Highway 32, crossing the Hoang Lien Son mountain range, home to the majestic Fansipan peak towering at 3142 meters above sea level. The scenery along the way is simply awe-inspiring; feel free to stop anywhere to capture breathtaking snapshots with your camera, each frame a masterpiece.
Continuing along winding roads, you'll eventually be greeted by the vast expanse of terraced fields, marking our arrival in Mu Cang Chai. Once dubbed "The forgotten land of Vietnam" due to its remote location, Mu Cang Chai has now become a sought-after destination for both local and international tourists. Despite its newfound popularity, the area still retains its pristine beauty and unique cultural allure. Every season casts its own spell, but autumn (late September to mid-October) is especially enchanting, as the landscape is blanketed in golden hues of ripe rice.
Next, we'll conquer the Khau Pha Pass, one of the four great passes of the Northwest Vietnam, where you'll be treated to panoramic views of the terraced fields below. Take time to explore the serene villages nestled amidst this picturesque setting. As evening descends, we'll return to our hotel for a satisfying dinner and some well-deserved rest, concluding the first day of our 3-day motorbike tour from Sapa to Mu Cang Chai filled with unforgettable experiences.

As we savor the final moments of our motorbike adventure, we prepare to bid farewell to Phu Yen and return to Hanoi. Today, we rise with the sun, indulging in a hearty breakfast before embarking on a journey to explore the enchanting province of Phu Yen.
Our first stop is Don Ban Mo, a historic site nestled in Quang Huy commune, Dinh Chu, Phu Yen. This garrison holds significant historical value, serving as a strategic halt for General Vo Nguyen Giap and his troops during their march to Dien Bien Phu amidst the Indochina War.
Next on our itinerary is the captivating Ta Xua Nature Reserve, a must-visit destination in Phu Yen. We'll traverse the rugged terrain, riding along the spine of the dinosaur-shaped landscape to conquer Ta Xua Peak, towering at an elevation of 2,600 meters above sea level. While the journey may be challenging, the breathtaking vistas awaiting atop the peak make every effort worthwhile. Standing amidst the clouds, we find solace, our spirits uplifted and liberated from the burdens of everyday life. Be sure to capture this unforgettable moment with some stunning photographs to cherish forever.
Following our mountainous escapade, we'll descend to the base of the mountain for a leisurely lunch and a brief respite before commencing our journey back to Hanoi. Traversing dike roads to avoid potential traffic congestion, we once again immerse ourselves in the tranquil beauty of expansive rice paddies and idyllic rural villages dotting the landscape. Ideally, we aim to return to Hanoi before the onset of rush hour, bringing our exhilarating 3-day off-road Sapa Motorbike Tour via Mu Cang Chai and Phu Yen to a safe and fulfilling conclusion.
