We'll start at 9 a.m., weaving through the dense streets of Hanoi's suburbs. Joining the trip by off-road motorbike and side roads, we will have more opportunities to see the peaceful beauty and simple daily life in the Red River Delta. During the 40 km journey along the riverbank, we will pass countless small villages set among vast green fields and gardens, with herds of buffaloes and cows grazing freely.

We will arrive at the homestay near Thac Ba lake at 4:30 pm, take a boat trip around the lake and have dinner with a Dzao family. After dinner, we will sing, dance and learn to play their musical instruments with the locals, enjoying some rice wine.

We started the day with a short trip around the village to explore the daily lives of the people, then crossed a large stream and headed towards Yen The following route 170. Soon, we were standing at the top of a pass on route 170, from which the lake can be viewed from above.

As we passed through palm tree forests and limestone mountains, we soon arrived at Luc Yen town. This town is famous for its precious stones, surrounded by limestone and marble mountains, along with Thac Ba Lake and Chay River. We enjoyed lunch here. In the afternoon, we went from Cao and Xuan Giang streets to Viet Quang town, and then arrived in Ha Giang around 5pm.

We will visit Dong Van - one of the most remote regions of Vietnam, famous for its beautiful natural landscapes and unique culture of ethnic minorities. Not only Tham Ma slope but also Nho Que river and Ma Pi Leng pass will easily surprise you. After that, we will visit King Meo at Dong Van, the residence of the Vuong family, built in the beautiful Sa Phin valley with typical Chinese architecture. The entire house is made from wood and stone, and the stone is imported entirely from China.

Next, continue driving to Meo Vac, home to many ethnic minorities such as Dzao, Tay, H'mong, etc. Despite modern life, they still maintain their inherent simplicity and peace. Enjoy dinner and stay overnight at the hotel here.

After breakfast, we set off for Ba Be Lake. Spanning numerous mountains, this is one of the most picturesque routes on our journey, offering distant views of the stunning Nho Que River.

We have lunch at a local restaurant in Bao Lac town before tackling 30 kilometers of paved road and a small forest trail to reach Ba Be. The scenic streams and rivers along the way make today’s drive particularly enjoyable. In the late afternoon, we arrive at Pac Ngoi, a quaint village of the Tay people situated within Ba Be National Park. Our team will enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at a local homestay.

Continuing our journey from Ba Be to Lang Son, we will pass through the historically significant villages of Dong Khe and That Khe, renowned for the numerous bloody battles between the Viet Minh and French forces in the 1950s.

Our drive will then take us to the picturesque village of Quang Hoa, home to the Nung An people. Here, we will stop for lunch and take a break before proceeding to Lang Son. Today, Lang Son is recognized as the foremost trading hub between Vietnam and China, offering a plethora of Chinese products such as toys, phone chargers, and other electronics. We'll enjoy dinner at a local restaurant before heading back to the hotel to rest after a long day on the road.
