Itinerary
After gathering and reviewing the rules and important notes for the trip, we will depart for Sin Ho, Vietnam, around 8:30 am. Our group will follow Road 4D through Sapa town, passing several beautiful waterfalls before reaching the top of Tram Ton Pass, the highest mountain road in Vietnam at an altitude of 1,900 meters above sea level. If the weather is clear, you will be able to see the pass winding around the mountains, marking the border between Lao Cai and Lai Chau provinces.
Continuing our ride, we will encounter Fansipan peak, known as "The Roof of Indochina," standing at 3,143 meters. Tram Ton Pass meanders through pristine alpine landscapes to the town of Tam Duong. We then ride northwest on Road 4D for 40 km to Lai Chau. Nestled between the famous tourist destinations of Sapa and Dien Bien, Lai Chau attracts visitors with its charming beauty, hundreds of peaks, stunning waterfalls, and friendly locals. If you visit Lai Chau in September or October, don't miss the breathtaking valleys filled with vast golden rice terraced fields.
From Lai Chau City, we continue on Road 4D to reach Phong Tho town, and then proceed to the Da River valley. While the road is generally in good condition, it deteriorates when it becomes Road 12. We conquer another 30 km to Chan Nua Junction, where a majestic valley unfolds before us. At the junction, we turn left onto Road 128 to enjoy the beautiful scenery and head to Sin Ho. This 40 km zigzag road, cut into the mountainside, offers wonderful views of peaceful villages, farmland, and romantic rivers.
Nestled on a small plateau at an altitude of 1,000 meters, Sin Ho's weather is quite cold, especially in the evening, so remember to bring a jacket. Our motorbike team will stop at a local homestay for dinner and rest after a long day of riding.
